A few tips for setting up complex searches

Most of the queries (or searches) you will be using in alerts or widgets will contain multiple words and search operators. Here is a list of definitions and rules that Cuesense supports.
A query contains several terms and phrases, combined via search operators.
Term A single word, e.g. Madrid Phrase Multiple words that have to appear together in text. Use quotes, e.g. “san francisco”
Combining terms and phrases By default, when you type multiple terms or phrases in a query, they are all required. In other words, the default operator is an ‘AND’. You can also type AND explicitly in the query, More >
Opinion Search extended with advanced sentiment search parameters

Check out our new Advanced Opinion Search parameters “sentiment”, “valence”, and “from”/”to”. On Opinion River (formerly News River) click on “advanced search”. Here you have a choice of 8 sentiment dimensions such as “joy”, “sadness”, or “surprise”, two quality dimensions “positive” and “negative”, and two profanity filter dimensions “profane” and “unsafe”. We are using Plutchik’s color wheel in case you were wondering about the sentiment colors. The Sentiment Color Map and the Sentiment selection checkboxes are coordinated. When you click on a sentiment area in the map, the appropriate checkbox is selected too, and vice versa.
